The pieces are formed from crystal clear borosilicate glass, the same material used to make high end lab equipment. VIV’s Overflow System easily adds an overflow to your aquarium without having to drill through the tank. It operates efficiently and quietly at 350 GPH, making it ideal for a 30-50 gallon aquarium. The unit can be placed on rimless aquariums with glass up to .4″ (1 cm) thick. With the overflow unit in place, the tank can be as close as 2 1/4″ away from a wall. The internal part of the overflow only displaces a minimal area of 3 1/2″ long by 1 1/2″ wide and the height is adjustable, with a maximum of 5″. The crystal clear glass does not distract from the beauty of the aquarium as other filtration options would. The venturi on the return pipe pulls out the air bubbles, allowing the overflow system to start automatically and reset after a power outage or when air is introduced.
