You can even turn this 16-gallon biOrb AIR terrarium into an insectarium. The biOrbAIR simulates the conditions found under the tropical forest canopy, providing many different species with the optimal conditions they need to thrive just as if they lived in the jungles of the Amazon. Your tank inhabitants will thrive on the proper levels of humidity, air circulation, and lighting.

Another amazing benefit of the biOrb AIR terrarium is that you can enjoy a 360 degree view of a world you’ve created. Over the months and years of keeping it, you'll enjoy watching your tropical environment develop and grow - it’s like a window into another world! The biOrb AIR terrarium by OASE uses treated sterilized coir compost as the growth media to cultivate the plant roots. The coir compost is placed on top of a capillary mat that draws water up to the compost from a small water reservoir in the base.

With the biOrb Air terrarium, natural daylight isn't needed, since it is lighted by LED lighting. The lighting for your terrarium is arranged in a six LED array at the top of the sphere. This lighting is just right for encouraging natural plant growth. Your LED lighting works on an automatic 24 hour cycle, simulating sunrise, daylight, sunset, and night time. To reduce condensation and stagnation within your terrarium, there is a constantly running fan with three speed options to help recycle the air (and pull in some fresh air) through a carbon filter. To keep the terrarium appropriately humidified, you can add water to your ultrasonic mister. You can set it at Automatic (for tropical plant growth), Low (for less humidity), and High (to accommodate for certain species of invertebrate or amphibian).
